If you’re thinking of creating a vacation bucket list, continue reading to discover five vacation destinations that you may have overlooked. After all, there’s no time like the present to book a holiday package or cheap flights to an exotic destination.

Queenstown, New Zealand

Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of the world and is popular with thrill seekers who are looking to take part in adrenaline-inducing activities such as bungy jumping, lunging, horse riding, hell-skiing, and jet boating. Whilst in Queenstown you may also be interested in taking a film tour to see some of the beautiful locations, where the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit films were shot.

Las Vegas, USA

You don’t have to gamble a cent in order to have fun in Vegas. Vegas is home to a variety of world-class shows which range from Cirque du Soleil performances to concerts performed by A-list pop stars. You may even be tempted to book a holiday package that includes a stay in one of Vegas’ themed hotels such as the Venetian, Paris Las Vegas, and Circus. Another advantage to visiting Las Vegas is that you can easily take a day trip to the Grand Canyon, one of the most breathtaking sights in the world!

Venice, Italy

No bucket list is complete without featuring Venice, Italy. Whilst in Venice why not take a gondola ride from St Marks’ Square? St Marks’ Square which is also known as the piazza, is home to a variety of historical buildings, an example of which is the Doge’s Palace, a Gothic-style palace that was built in 1340. After touring the palace why not grab an espresso or gelato from one of the square’s chic cafes? If you choose to visit Venice in February, make sure to purchase a ticket to the annual masquerade ball which is part of Venice’s annual carnival.

Rio de Janeiro

Brazil If you’re a sun seeker, make sure to book a flight to Rio de Janeiro, which is home to one of the world’s most famous beaches, Copacabana Beach. Whilst in Rio de Janeiro you may want to take a gondola ride up to the top of the Corcovado Mountain, which overlooks Rio de Janeiro. Not only does Corcovado Mountain boast phenomenal views and provide the perfect backdrop for a selfie but it’s also the location of Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic landmark, the Statue of Christ the Redeemer. If you’re interested in visiting Rio, you may want to visit the Rio Carnival during the annual Mardi Gras festival which draws two million visitors each year.

Antarctica

If you’re an intrepid, adventure seeker, it’s definitely worth including Antarctica on your trip bucket list. The best way to visit Antarctica is to book a berth on a medium-sized cruise ship. Although, you’ll be able to bundle up and take guided excursions onto dry land in order to view Antarctica’s wildlife such as penguins and seals, in their natural habitat.
